like in mph this cop said i was going 52 mph but my speedo said i was doing 43

yes of course it can speedo's are calibrated to the wheel and Tyre size fitted as standard, if U put larger wheels, with lower profile Tyre's, as long as they are the same diameter as the standard one the speedo will be the same, any bigger the speedo will be out.

U can get Ur speedo calibrated so it i accurate, or get a GPS based speedo, they are more accurate

Yes it does. Speedometers are set to be accurate with the size tires that come on the vehicle when it is purchased new. Changing tire size throws the speedometer off.

The larger the diameter, the larger the circumference, and the larger the circumference, the further you go on every tire revolution. The speedometer measures tire revolution, and infers your speed from it.

yes, your speedometer is set to correctly measure speed with the recomended tire size. If you go up in size it will throw it off.

Yup, the smaller the tire the more revolutions it has to make the bigger the tire the less revolutions is has to complete
