I.e. parking brake pedal, L/H side of drivers cockpit. I don't have an owner's manual. Can put the brake on, but how do I release it?

Thank you, everyone who responded. It turned out that there was a cable missing which should attach to a small lever just above the e-brake pedal. Pulling the lever released the brake with no further problems.

usually you push down to lock the brake..push down on the pedal for it to release.

The usual method, I hear, if you don't have a release handle to pull, is to push the pedal down a few inches, and supposedly it's supposed to pop back up.
