I changed the oil on my '97 Altima yesterday and the oil had a gas odor. The oil was thick and had not been changed in about 6 months/4,000 miles. Prior to that the oil had been changed every 3 months at either wal mart or jiffy lube. Is the gas odor normal? If not what can be causing it? Thanks in advance.

It was sitting for a few years and it leaks a little oil, and only blows a little bit of smoke. When I first got it there was a lot of smoke and I thought it was just because it sat there. What can I do to fix it?

Thanks.

1-3 inches of water have been flooding my floorboards between the firewall and carpet from time to time. Same thing happened yesterday and this time it was greenish water(assuming antifreeze). Its at the shop for now and I am beeing told it may be the result of drainage related to the heater core going into the firewall. I'm still confused.........can somebody explain this better? Thank you
