In the manual I got from stainless steel brake corp along with my set of 4 new 4 piston calipers ( don't trip, the kit was only 470 bucks) they say a good method for bleeding the brakes is to use a gravity bleeding methode,, that is "leave all caliper bleed screws open with the rear of the car raised to 15" at the rear axel shafts. Observe each bleeder valve untill fluid begins to flow out, shut off valve as as fliud appears at each valve" that's it. they say this is the recomended method. do you think this will work?

Also, the brakes are constant contact type and I am changing the rotors also with a set from fast corvettes,, they say a run out of over .005 in may cause air in tghe lines,, I have no way of measuring the run out,, do you think it will be ok odr should I have it checked. If so, what is a good national brand shop to take the car to to have it checked?

1997 Dodge Caravan, 194,000 miles. There is a noise that comes
from the drive train when above 40mph. It increases in frequency
as the speed increases. Can't really say which side it's coming from.
No noises when turning sharply (slowly in a parking lot, both directions) , and no boot damage on drive axles.
I think it's the wheel bearing hub but how do I tell for sure without
buying new ones to try replacing. $110 each. I put the van on jack
stands and looked for play in the drive axles, but couldn't detect anything. Suggestions?

It is a 1984 Ford F-100 w/ a 1976 300ci straight 6 engine and automatic transmission. It has one owner since new and appears to have been well maintained visually it is in excellent condition and mechanically is good other than the battery not charging. I need all possible causes to decide whether or not I should buy this truck for $800 and fix it.

I know the big block auto for Mopars is the 727, I pulled the 318 out of my Dart and it has a 727, but the 318, although the wide block, is still a small block right? So will this 727 work with a big block or is it really like a 904 but just called a 727 cause the bolt pattern would be different, or is the 318 wide block a big block, and made as a small block after 64? I know the main difference between the 318 wide and a post 64 318 is that the early ones had heads designed in the hemi style, while the post 64 heads were of the wedge design. I want to keep the push button set-up, but I want to build a big block for the car, if I have to go to a big 727 then I will just build a small block for it, so I can keep the push button tranny.

I have a 1993 pontiac bonneville, a brand new AC compressor was replaced, the AC worked for about a month then the air stopped getting cold, i had it looked at there were no leakages, it's still full of freon, the person looking at my car had reseted some tpye of switch or fuse then the air started getting cold again, it only lasted for month and went back out, what could possibly be the problem? or what type of switch would it be?
