.43 mm acording to the mustang workshop manual and .50mm for the 289hp

g fire is corect, that would equate to .035".

If you have a "hot" coil that puts out more voltage than the stock one, you could probably bump it up to .040" or 1 mm.

change to pointless. I did in my 69 chevelle. never messed with it again.
