have taken out all bolts as described in haynes manuall sump is removed n the next part is seperated apart from whr it meets the bell housin n i cnt get it to move...tried prying it apart n cant c any other bolts to take out...however i can c my conrods n its makin me sick nt bein able to get to thm hehe

If its out the car i cant see why you cant seperate the gearbox bell housing, it could be stuck on the dowels. If its in the car it could be because the gearbox has an engine mount and you may not be able to seperate it while its in the car. Having said that if you can see your conrods and you are only changing the shells then just take the big end caps off the crank and renew your shells. Hard to say without seeing it. Good luck

If its just a thin plate Its just a guard and it is bolted on under the bell housing typical ford design at least it used to be have a look not much help I know but I am more skilled with hands on than giving instructions I am skilled at looking at problems and working out the problems that's as much help as I am willing to give without seeing the engine don't want you 2 **** any thing up on my account

gotcha, there might be bolts tho bell housing into engine part, try that mucker
it was the bit, bit that confussed me, bit to technical
