If there's an accident, not my fault, the other person's insurance pays for the damage. Does my insurance go up also? When answering, please include state you are in.

Regardless in all 50 states, if the other person got a ticket it is not your fault therefore your insurance is only notified in case the other is not insured. Regardless yours will not go up. No fault state or not that is when it gets personal

It will if you live in Michigan. This state has no fault insurance

Missouri and Texas and New Mexico all have no fault protection insurance

In ohio any accident goes on your record (vehicle owner) after so many some insurance companies hold it against you.

in virginia it does not go up if it is not your fault only if you are at fault
