Common reasons for belt squeal.
1. The damned thing is too loose.
2. Something that the belt drives is getting very hard to turn.
3.Something is contaminating the belt (oil etc)
4.The pulleys are not properly matched or aligned (eg the alternator may be sitting too far forward or back.)
5.If an idler pulley isfitted it is looses or worn.
6.Wrong belt.
If all is ok try rubbing some hand soap ( hard caked type) on the belts running surfaces.
