Not at all with today's cars and parts. If you live in a cooler climate where salt is used on the roads in the winter, run it through a car wash with an underbody wash at least every 10 days. This will keep salt from collecting and corroding your underbody.

If you are insistent on getting undercoating, go to Ziebart instead of the dealer. They do a better job at less than half the price.

No,, it is a waste of money unless you live in an area with very high rains, water logging and water withy high salt content ,a nd in such areas you wil have to take aditional care besides under body coating.
Elsewhere there is no requirement(no matter what the salesman says) as car manufactureres provide sufficient rust protection for their cars (you wouldn't buy them otherwise, Would you?)

No....as it ages it can actually collect the mositure and debris which causes body rot. That's why all the aftermarket folks only limit it to 5 years.....about the time any car starts to rust if in the right elements.

All newer models are zinc dipped and heavily coated, so additional stuff is not required.
