I have recently bought a car but im afraid our driveway kerb has yet not been lowered. I am in the process off contacting council to have this sorted. But in the meanwhile how damaged can my car get as i am scared of parking it in on road as people scratch it.

88 jeep wrangler...v6.
.i failed my smog check..
test results:
my rpm's were 2 high, fuel cap fail, emmision test fail, gross polluter...i cant find the paper but im sure more F's were on the list...

wut do i need 2 get fixed ..??and can i do all this myself?

Today I was running errands, when I came out of one store I went to turn on my car but it would not. The lights will still come on, and the radio does as well. When I try to turn the key, I don't hear any noises except the ding ding ding reminding me to put my seatbelt on... My battery died a couple months ago and I had to be jumped, so I know its low - it's never been replaced, also.

But I found someone to jump the car, and after ~10 minutes it still would not turn on. Is it possible its still just the battery being completely dead? What else could it be?

i have an 1984 XF Ford falcon with 4.1 litre engine.it was running nice when i bought it and now it is blowing smoke and doesnt seem to be running as healthy as it should be.. the engine is still running quiet and doesnt seem to have any knocking sounds.i have changed oil and plugs and oil filter but still blows smoke.. i have noticed that the hoses running from pcv have cracks in them and so do other hoses that seem to have something to do with the anti pollution system.

Does anyone know how to romove the o2 sensor from a 91 bmw 525i I have a o2 sensor socket but the sensor is under the car mid way back right at the y in the pipe and how its placed i cant get the socket on it. Any Ideas or should I burn the Car.lol Also I can only find 1 sensor people are saying there are 2 who is correct?

I'm going crazy! I've bought a 2000, 328i and it has very strange problem.
The car doesn't accelerate and the engine is very sluggish, particularly when you push the gas pedal! The EML light is on and there is yellow triangle sign coming on on the dash, plus the check engine light. Now I've taken it to about 10 BMW mechanics and they can't figure out the problem. I have change the air flow meter, throttle body, spark plugs and changed the oil couple of times! non of them helped!! (p.s. could be the oil pump?)
These are the errors that BMW dealer gave me:
1-camshaft position sensor circuit malfunction (#65)
2-signal, 02 sensor, bank 1&2, before catalyst, below min. value.(#151/154)
3-signal, throttle pedal travel sensor(#172 & 111)
4-engine throttle out-put-stage shut off(#169)
5-pedal travel, brakeslamp switch
6-air mass meter signal faulty(#08)
7-pedal travel sensor(#117)
8-electical power in excess of 18v(#120)
9-CAN connection to DME(#148)
10-Streering angle sensor(#182)
**** I repeat, I have changed throttle body and air flow meter already ****
Please help me out, I have no Idea what's wron with this car!

I have a 1982 Porsche 928. It is an 8cyl. Automatic. The automatic is a 3 speed, you can stay in 1st up to 65mph and 2ed up to 95mph. It has a nice top speed, but we want it to be able to get off the line faster. We are replacing the spark plugs with bosche platinum 4. And are buying new "Hot wire" sparkplug wires for it. We are going to do a full tune up, all fluids, filters, and I am having the transmission rebuilt. We where thinking about putting headers and dual exaust on it. Any suggestions on other things or with the things we are planning on doing? It has aprx 300HP right now but am hoping to get something like 500HP+ once we are done with it.
