on the new cars the only way you can grt it to stop is hook your seatbelt behind the seat if you unplug the fuse or the buzzer box the car will not run and please do not listen to the mechanic who told you to take out the door switch and use the paper clip you will set your car on fire like this because there is constant current going through this it is just like sticking a paper clip into a wall socket at your house a mechanic for 12 years i cant beleive he told you that he should know better the only way to do it is the right way

The best way to disable the SW is to disconnect the door switch in the door frame, or if you remove the driver seat, there should be a connector with 2 wires, that is the seat switch, which senses the seat belt connected or not, if you disconnect it and then bypass it by unbending a paper clip and inserting it, thus bypassing it, the chime should not work, this is the eastist way to do it, no going under or in your dash, the door frame push sw is also easy to bypass as well, the you remove from the door frame and remove the wires from the back, and just put them together and you bypass the switch, thus making it feel like the door is shut, but one down side, the dome light will not work if you do that one. Good luck

Wear the seatbelt. If that doesnt disable it, take it to your dealer and have him disable it under warranty, although he will only be able to enable the "disable while wearing belt" option. If that is not helpful try sticking it in the eye with an ice pick. That should shut him up!!!

If it is ringing when you are wearing the seat belt, it should be a warranty or dealer issue.
If you aren't wearing a seat belt, you are already crazy.
I wouldn't cut or disconnect any wires to the seat or seatbelt sensors, they are likely to be tied into the airbag system & could cause more problems.

There is usually a black module underneath your steering column that just pull out to stop the chime. It usually looks like it has a speaker built in it. You can check with manuals on-line to get a better description of the module.

Close the door and fasten your seat belt. The chime is there for a reason.

Click your seat belt on. Seat belts save lives. Would you rather save a life or just be too bothered to listen to a little dinging noise?

How about USING the seatbelt? Or are you one of those people that whine "it's uncomfortable"
Click it or ticket bud.
