I cleaned the air filter, carborator, and changed the spark plugs. When I press the gas, it goes slow, then slowly gains power, but it sounds like it ants to die or something. Second gear is the same, and third barely wants to go, and fourth Slows dows massivly to the point it wont move unless I downshift. When I stop, I am covered in a blanket of blue smoke, and the path behind me is covered in blue smoke. Also, when I rev the engine, it sounds like the engine is knocking or something. Not sure if its the engine, but I think it is. HOw do I fix this? Or does it need a new engine and transmission...basically an overhaul?

While at stop lights my idle is normal at about 800 RPMs, then it drops about 100 and the car shakes for a couple seconds. Back to normal. then it drops again. This happens about every 5 or so seconds. It seems worse in hotter weather. What causes this. I probably have to go to a mechanic but I was hoping it was a simple problem I could fix.

I have a 2000 chevy s-10 and my brake hardware keeps snapping. I have changed the brake shoes, drums, and brake cylinders but the springs keep snapping. The first time they sanapped the brake light came on. I bled the system, no loose of any fluid yet. The brake booster is new and has no internal or external leaks. Do you guys have an idea what it could be? Could the proportional valve be the one at foult? The way I see it is that the springs are being opened to the extreme thats why they snapp I think. But I understand the shoes only open so much because of the drum. All parst were replaced after the problem started. The hardware is not miss led by anyway. The schematics are the way they are sopposed to be. One time they snappped when I went thru a pothole. But I think brakes are made to take the stress of the road no matter what. I don't know what to do.

i am having problems with my clutch the problem is there is no fluid getting to the clutch slave cylinder although there is fluid in the clutch master cylinder's resivour. what could possibly be wrong? could it be a blocked tube, dodgy rubbers in the master cylinder?

a little background on the slave cylinder is that it is only about 4 months old at the max so i dont think it is to do with the slave cylinder i think it is to do with something else maybe blocked pipes

it seems to me all you would have to do is to make the car tire solid with very deep treads so they will last a long time, and might also help with traction in bad weather. it would also end blow outs, and flat tires, and maybe some accidents. is this the wrath of the tire companies not to produce one?
