How do you remove seats out of a 1973 volkswagon?

I am going to attempt to change the carpet in my 1973 Beetle. Are there any special tools that are needed to take out the front seats?

Most seats on any vehicle are just bolted in... if by chance you run accross one of those bolts that that have a funky looking head on it, any auto parts store should have the tool you need... just ask them at the counter... be careful not to cut yourself with the many springs and crap you'll encounter .... hope you have patience to work in small areas... good luck
