i am having problems with my clutch the problem is there is no fluid getting to the clutch slave cylinder although there is fluid in the clutch master cylinder's resivour. what could possibly be wrong? could it be a blocked tube, dodgy rubbers in the master cylinder?
a little background on the slave cylinder is that it is only about 4 months old at the max so i dont think it is to do with the slave cylinder i think it is to do with something else maybe blocked pipes
any help much appreichated
regards
Mark

Why was the slave cylinder replaced? Generally, the master cylinder will wear out about the same time the slave cylinder does. If the fluid was ever dirty, the check valves will be stuck open either in the master or slave. Chances are, the master cylinder check gasket is worn or stuck open with dirt. A rebuild kit will help temporarily, but the real fix is to replace with a new cylinder, not rebuilt.

Sounds like an air lock in the fluid line, just needs bleeding at the slave cylinder takes about 10 minutes

You sound like you have a blockage of some sort. Try flushing the clutch slave cylinder. This is a tuff job, but it may work.
Also, you may want to check the connection between the clutch and the clutch slave cylinder. You may be losing your clutch fluid do to a leak of some sort.
Hope you get it fixed!

your clutch slave cylinder is bad. when you depressed the clutch your fluid seeps by the rubber seals. causes no pressure on release bearing. you need to replace it. theyre not that expensive. theyre usually connected to the bell housing . make sure you bleed the bleeder so no air. which will cause a spongy clutch. master cylinder has nothing to do with clutch do not listen to that crap. master cylinder is for brakes only.

Generally, you should replace clutch slave and master cylinders together. The piston seals are most likely gone in your master cylinder and should be replaced.

If you are having problems with the Clutch Releasing or Engaging, you could just have a problem with the Clutch Cable needing grease or you could have a Broken Aluminium Fork (do NOT overtighten) or it could be worse like a Broken Rack & Pinion. Hope this helps

Nope, Not a problem in the master. Definitely sounds like a tube problem. Easy and simple to fix. Good luck.

sometimes fluid lines to the slave cyl. have splitter blocks or check valves to relieve any excess air from the line itself, to prevent vapor lock, you may want to track the line down and see if you can find any such device and bleed the line......hope that helps!
