Need to check your charging system. You've either got a bad battery, or a bad alternator, or a loose battery cable. Check your connections and recharge your battery.
If the vehicle has less than 36000 miles on it, it will be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Good Luck

Does the horn work? Headlights?? If not, how old is your battery? Have the alternator checked, and if necessary, buy a rebuilt one. www.napaonline.com has whatever you need. The cables could have corrosion built up in them, or the ends could be corroded. Any of these problems can cause your car to "not start" or the alternator to "not charge". If it is found that your alternator is bad, do not EVER charge your dead battery with your alternator. They are designed as a battery CONDITIONER, not a CHARGER. This is to say that they are used for "supply and demand" only. Any other use can and will shorten the life of your alternator. They can go bad in the other direction as well. You could cook the circuits closed, which will OVERCHARGE your alternator. This can be VERY DANGEROUS, as the battery can actually EXPLODE!

Sounds like you need an alternator and maybe a battery if you killed it already. You can test the alternator the poor man way by starting the car then unhook the neg battery cable and see if the car remains running if it doesn't then the alternator needs to be replaced.
Battery tests are free at Pep Boys ... but sounds to me like an alternator needs to be replaced. If the charge or battery light is on that's a sign the alternator is not working properly.

Bad battery.
Sounds like one of the cells went bad. (It happens)
Buy a new battery, and clean the inside of the terminals.

isn't it still under warranty? take it/tow it the the chevy dealer. Let them figure it out before you void the warranty with your own repairs.
