I don't know which size I should use for repairing the stripped threading for my Foreman head cover bolt. I don't live near any NAPA or any other repair shops to show the bolt and ask which kit I should get. Thanks.

When resetting the valve clearance for my TRX 450 FM, one of the four head cover bolts thread stripped while tightening it and now some oil is leaking from the head. Is there any way to tighten and keep it tight without stripping it more or going thru the drill and tap route? Thanks

The belt is not twisted, but somehow the latchplate tongue is turned the wrong way and it is impossible(for me anyway) to turn it around the right way. How does this happen and how do you fix it?? It is really strange.

this is driving me insane. i can't go far distances in this damned 1989 chevy suburban. the tranny drips fluid at normal capacity, city driving. on high loads, like hills and freeway speed, it just dumps fluid. i need to travel to sacremento from south lake tahoe, and, i cant! the pan is not warped, i glued that mother shut with avaition gasket and a gasket, and did the correct torque specs in the star pattern. the leak could be coming from the steel cooler lines, but i would think they would be sopping wet from, all the fluid its been dumping.i could swear that it was coming from the pan. the vacuum modulater looks to be the culprit, but i just pulled it, and it still has a nice o-ring on there (i just replaced the mod 2 weeks ago). that big plastic line might be it too, but i dont have an idea how to check/pull that piece out... any input on the situation?anything would just be awesome. im willing to try almost anything short of replacing the tranny. thanks.

I just broke down-
I was speeding up and I had to hit the breaks suddenly because a car pulled up in front of me. When I slowed down, the RPM's stayed high and the car (under the hood) was being really loud. I went home because I was afraid to stop it and when I got home and turned it off, it stalled. I can turn it on again but when I put it into gear, it stalls. Does this mean my transmission is messed up? Is that expensive? Do you think I will have to get a whole new one or maybe it can be repaired? Do you suggest I go to a Chrysler Dealership or a repair shop? Please help! Thank you

The battery in my 1997 Subaru Legacy Outback sounds like it's starting to have trouble turning over the engine when I start it, and the battery is a good 4 years old or more (I think car batteries are only designed to last maybe 5 years).

Is there a way I can use my multitester to determine what shape the battery is in? (Is there a level of voltage and/or current it's supposed to put out or something like that?)

My car is a 2002 Land Rover Discovery. The window is rolled all the way down. I tired pulling up a little on the window and using the switch with no luck. When using the switch the window doesn't move at all but the motor does run. Any suggestion on what the problem may be. Off track? Motor not working? Regulator broken?

Changing the thermostat and a siezed bolt broke. Tried an EZ out and pb blaster. Tried a left hand drill bit. None of these worked.

I know applying a torch will sometimes work, but all I have is a propane one and I don't think that will get it hot enough.

Any other ideas or tricks or is my last resort getting a Heli coil?

just wondering if anyone has an idea as to what it would cost me to get my brakes fixed on my '94 honda accord. it does have 4 wheel disc brakes and ABS. i think i just need the rear brakes fixed, one of them is grinding really bad while i drive so i'm sure i'll need at least one new rotor. let me know if you have a good idea what a 2 wheel brake job would cost. thanks.
