just wondering if anyone has an idea as to what it would cost me to get my brakes fixed on my '94 honda accord. it does have 4 wheel disc brakes and ABS. i think i just need the rear brakes fixed, one of them is grinding really bad while i drive so i'm sure i'll need at least one new rotor. let me know if you have a good idea what a 2 wheel brake job would cost. thanks.

i thought the caliper may be frozen.
does it help to say that its more of a screaming squealing sound than a grinding? also, it stops when i apply the brakes.

You cant get a price for a repair like this without having the brakes inspected 1st. Yes, you may need a rotoe, and pads, but maybe the caliper is frozen too. When you wear down the pads beyond replacing and hit the rotors, you tend to over extend the piston in the calipers and then you need to replace them too. You may be looking at 2 hours worth of labor plus the cost of parts. It may go as much as $300 for this type of repair. Keep your fingers crossed and hope the pads and 1 rotor needs to be replaced. Then you may be about 1/2 the cost.
Good Luck
