new bearings gaskets etc have been put in.spent over 1000.00 on it.what recourse besides the dealership does she have under ga law?what could be causing this problem.she keeps the maintence up good.

A 99 jeep grand cherokee with 20 inch rims. Lately when I hit any sort of bump at more than 25 mph the jeep startes shaking uncontrollably side to side. You have to stop completely to get it to stop. What could be wrong? Is it the tie rod or just the low profile tires? Need help

This is intermittent. Sometimes when engine is cold, sometimes hot. Everything turns over but it sounds as if it just won't fire up. Spark plugs have been replaced. Next is distributor cap, wires, fuel filter and air filter. Any other ideas? Where is fuel filter located?

While sitting at a stop sign (in drive), waiting for the light to turn green, I noticed that my 2000 Taurus drops from about 1 RPM to below, and the catches itself and gains again. What is going on? It's like the car wants to stall, but than catches itself and fixes the problem. It's never done this before and it scares the crap out of me!

This might not be related, but it has had a tough time starting in the heat. It's never acted up before, so this is very uncharacteristic. Should I take it in?

Once we got going, the car was fine and I didn't hear any funny sounds. When I got to work, I pulled into a parking spot, stopped, but kept the car in drive. I still noticed the problem, but not quite as bad. When I put it in park, I barely notice it.

Help, I am so lost about cars, and don't want to take it in and get ripped off from a dealer.

Anyone in Bloomington/St. Louis Park area of the Twin Cities know of a good mechanic?

I got in the rodeo to go to work this morning. The check egine light would blink when I step on the gas. When I let off it stops blinking. I have been reading forums and I think it could be the ERG. I had the plugs replace a year or so ago with the dealer plugs so I don't think that is the problem. I will try to replace the PVC to see if that helps. I have never fooled with a ERG but I will try to clean it. What do I use to clean it?

Truck was running perfectly all day. I went into the store came back out started the truck felt the truck bogg/jult a little bit, when I went to step on the gas then the truck stalled! Would not start with a jump either! Noticed that the oil leaked completely our was also splattered all along the side of the truck. Had to have the truck towed home & now i'm wondering how much the repair will cost me & what exactly could be the problem. The radio, clock, lights, & ac all still come on? Could the engine be seized?

Is there any sort of product which can be ran through the water passages on a 1983 envirude 75 to clean them out rather then having to dissasemble the motor? I was thinking about using the seafoam oil treatment i figure itd be fine in the water jacket but will it hurt the pump? If theres no other solution then break down how hard is it? The boat belongs to a friend and he says he has breakdowns on the whole thing, i was an auto/small motor mechanic for 5 years but this is my first out board so any help would be appreciated

here's the story, i had to go on a trip for 4 days and left my truck in the garage, when i came back and started it, the alarm goes off but doesnt cut with the remote control, i checked the remote and its not it because the battery is new, i tried to take out the alarm fuse, but nothing, my truck doesnt start unless the alarm cuts, i was considering to reset my alarm but im not sure, what could be the problem with it?

I have a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero. I drove the car about 25 - 30 miles in 100 degree weather. A/C running high. When I came to a complete stop to drop my friend off at her house, the car died, and it was in drive. The car started right up, and it didn't do that on the way home. It was not overheating, and no check engine lights came on. Do you think this was a fluke, or not? It has about 75K miles on it. What could be the cause of this?

I saw this car i was looking to buy yesterday, it was a 1.8 astra coupe x reg..
However when i started the car and tapped the accelerator and let go, obviously the rev counter went up an then down, but the problem is it went below the 1 mark on the rev counter and seemed liked it was going to die out but just before it did the rev counter went back up enough to resume its normal state...
What caused this?am i looking into a problem which is not a problem?should i still buy the car?
