I got in the rodeo to go to work this morning. The check egine light would blink when I step on the gas. When I let off it stops blinking. I have been reading forums and I think it could be the ERG. I had the plugs replace a year or so ago with the dealer plugs so I don't think that is the problem. I will try to replace the PVC to see if that helps. I have never fooled with a ERG but I will try to clean it. What do I use to clean it?

I was going to take it in today and it stopped flashing. Dealer plugged it in to the computor but no code. Luckly they did that for free! They siad they can't get a code untill the the CEL stays on.

your engine light is blinking to let you know you have a miss fire on one or more cylinders. It blinks to let you know that it could cause catalictic converter damage. It doesn't have to be a plug problem, it could also be a coil problem, or fuel injection problem. I seriously doubt it's your EGR valve, though i've seen in happen in rare cases. Cleaning your EGR valve is very tough considering you can't get all the carbon out of it, and it's the carbon that makes them stick. My advice to you, save yourself some headache and take it to a professional.
