Truck was running perfectly all day. I went into the store came back out started the truck felt the truck bogg/jult a little bit, when I went to step on the gas then the truck stalled! Would not start with a jump either! Noticed that the oil leaked completely our was also splattered all along the side of the truck. Had to have the truck towed home & now i'm wondering how much the repair will cost me & what exactly could be the problem. The radio, clock, lights, & ac all still come on? Could the engine be seized?

Did you just have the oil changed? Someone may have forgotten to replace the drain plug. Running any car without oil can cause severe permanent damage. If the engine got too hot, it may be permanently seized.

I assume when you say you tried to start and wouldn't even with a jump that means the engine still cranked (turned over). This would be a good sign that you didn't seized the engine. Could be something as simple as a burnt wire somewhere, but can't tell for sure without looking at the engine. Where is the oil leaking from? You will have to take the car to your mechanic and have him give you a complete going over.

Find the source of the leak. If oil is along side of truck then it may have been leaking while you were driving and there is a good posibility that you have siezed the engine. does it crank when trying to start? make sure you put oil back in it before attempting to start it. You should have had some warning before oil level got low enough to do damage. Some vehicles wont run if oil level is too low.

If you ran all of the oil out and the truck stalled then would not even turn over when you tried to crank it, The I would say that your Engine is seized up. If it ran without oil, there could very well be a lot of internal damge. But then again it is possible that all that needs to be done is to bore your cylinder walls to remove friction scars. Either way, your engine will still have to be removed and dis-assembled.
