If you want to win, I'd probably pick something else. It's kind of nose heavy and doesn't have very many parts available. If you just want to have fun, why not bring it to an autocross or your local dragstrip (whichever floats your boat) with no mods and see how you like the competition before doing anything to it?

I would say probably not because once you start adding power and abusing that car the transmission is going to break. Its your car and your money so do whatever makes you happy.
