we have just put a new fuel pump in a 95 dodge spirit and it started right up and idled and after a while it will not start anymore. does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm thinking it may not have been the fuel pump. You should have also changed the fuel filter at the same time.

check the fuel filter it may have trash in it change your spark plugs right as a fuel pump goes bad it will pump excessive amount of gas into the cylinders and foul the plugs after it gets hot it wont start

Takes 3 things for an engine to run. Spark, Fuel and compression. Check them out and let me know what you find.

Fuel filter is a good place to start looking.

could have been a bad fuel pump
or have you checked the battery or
have you checked the starter...\
Bring it back where it got fixed
