The modular V-10 Might just be to big to fit into the engine bay and the Jimmy steering box location and springs might not be available. Measure twice cut once. With the availability of high perf. crate motors just do the proven 500 hp LS-7 or 450 HP LS-2

Yes, you will also need to use a Ford transmission, or look for an adapter kit that will let the GM transmission's bolt pattern bolt to the V-10 engine. best bet is use the whole ford powertrain. You will also need to change the motor mount locations and maybe do some cutting and welding in other places.
