My 90 300zx twin turbo is running really rich. It has had a used jspec motor put in with 30k on it. I was told by Nissan that there is high fuel pressure and fast injector pulse. They aslo said they couldnt communicate with the diagnostics on my computer. It has a perfomance ECU. It goes thru about a 1/4 tank of gas in 30miles, backfires in the first 3 gears, and runs really rough. Lacks power, but at higher speeds its not as bad, although goes thru gas alot still. The spark plugs and connectors were replaced Is the problem electrical? What is causing this? Please help!

I own a 1979 HZ Kingswood, and I need to replace the motor in it as the current motor has had it, but done over 400,000 Kms. It is a standard 202 motor. I was told by a friend that I could buy a new non-genuine 202 motor to put into the Kingswood, as he said it is possible to buy new non-genuine Holden 3.8L V8 and 5.0L V8's for Commodores. If so, how and where would I go about this?

OK. I'm starting to hate my car, but here's the current story.

My car has 95,000 miles on it. I've been wearing right brake pads at an abnormal rate since about 50,000 miles. I've also been losing brake fluid since about this point. 20,000 miles ago, I purchaced a lifetime waranty plan for said pads. This morning, I noticed the oh so familiar scraping. Took it in for waranty work. They told me I need to replace the caliper. Does this sound reasonable? Any sites to support it?

Here is the problem.

Astro Van, 95, 4.3L, 224,000 miles. Original engine, transmission, timing chain, etc.

Engine chokes, stalls, sputters, and vibrates when the accelerator is pressed fully while in drive. When in neutral and fully depressing the trottle the engine does not sputter or run rough. It stalls in all this in all speeds D, 3, 2, 1. Simply pressing rapidly the accelerator will do every time.

If you barely or gently press the accelerator it will attain a good speed and hold it. Seems to run normal as long as acclerator is not pressed over 1/4 of stroke.

Fuel pump was changed at 180,000.
Ox Sensor at 205,000.

No codes showing, no check engine light.

Seems to me like if it were the fuel pump or the coil it would do it in neutral as well.

ANYBODY got a clue what this beast is telling me.

I have a 2000 Isuzo Rodeo and my tire blew out a few weeks ago. I bought a new tire for it that day and had my car rotated and balanced. Now my car shakes every time I excelerate. I used to go 80 mph easily. Now its scary to go past 60.

So what is wrong with it? What should I have done to it?

1992 Ford Crown Vic, 102K, burns oil, no blue smoke, no leaks. My first thought was a valve job. Any other possibilities? Suggestions? What about an approxitmate cost for the valve job? Thanks.

When this car was given to me last month, they said the gaskets on the heads needs to be replaced, comes to find out, there is no gaskets on the heads now. How serious is this and can I do the gaskets myself?

I just got a flat and need a new tire. I previously had Bridgestone Potenza's on my Civic, but now I don't care and don't want to spend a lot. Is it ok to replace just that one tire with a cheapo, or do all four have to be the same size/brand? I prefer the cheapest option unless required.
