Sounds like you are low on freon. The low pressure switch is doing it's job and preventing damage. Have you ac system recharged and checked for leaks.Should be fine..

Probably low on Freon. One Can should fix. IT is leaking to need Freon, but, may not Require a Can about every Year or more. As it run it lose enough pressure for the Pressure Switch to shut off the Compressor. After it not run awhile the Pressure builds enough for it to come back on. IF, it R134a then you can buy a can and hose at many Stores with a Auto Section. K-Mart Actually sale a can of Freon with a hose already on the can, seen a guy buy one about a week ago. When you connect the hose first screw it on loose, turn on can and bleed air from your hose then Screw down Tight and fill according to directions. OH, if you buy the K-Mart deal, look inside the Hose end and be sure it have the center piece to push down the Valve, it like putting air in a tire.

the freon is getting low on it,,it wont be long before you have to get charged up,,also one other thing too,,sometime,s the relay will kick in and out,,if it start,s going bad,,but it will always,s cool good while it is running,,if it,s the relay,,it,s not a compressor problem,,so you don't have to worry with that,,if it is the relay,,it will eventually go out,,same may occur to if it is low on freon,,one way to find out if it,s the relay,,is to cross the wires over at the safety switch,,and let it run a few minute,s like this see how it cool,s,,also this will make the relay act up,,if it,s going bad,,if it doesn't,,it,s just getting low on freon,,hope this help,s you.

No, it is low on refrigerant.....get it charged back up or stop using it.....the compressor can become damaged because it gets starved for oil when it is cycling like that. Find the leak and fix it, then vaccum it down and add an ounce or two of ester oil before charging back up. This will extend the life of your compressor. Good luck.

I am an hvac tech and can tell you that you are low on refrigerant due to a possible leak. Have it serviced or you can get a small can of 134A which you can buy at any auto parts store. Unless you know what you are doing the best bet is to take it to a place that specializes in that to have it done.

Check the freon, its more than likely low, You can pick up a cheep gauge at you locale auto parts store, or even wal-mart I think. cost about 20 bucks, and it will tell you if you low.

Reminder

if you r refilling the refrigerant your self make sure there are no leaks and use the proper lube before putting the refrigerant.
