the easy way is to run a aem intake system i would not go with a cold system due to the fact of water getting sucked into the intake go with a shorty style it sits where your old air box sits and no water .Dc makes a very good header system that most people can install very easy . and lose your stock exhaust muffler and go with a flow-master 40 these are the cheapest and easiest for @ 25 to 35 hp

First would be a cold intake system. Not very expensive, easy to install, and you will see gains right away. Next would be a better exhaust system, a little more pricey, but not to bad. Both of these can be done in a weekend, and you will see good gains for both right away.

a good tune-up will be a good help like plug wires, plugs and also clean your throttle body.take off the snorkle that goes from the throttle body to the air cleaner and spray throttle body cleaner in it and open up the throttle and take a clean rag and wipe out the black soot.also you can change the air filter.gas filter and if you got a dist.cap change the rotor and cap.
