I was driving on a local road with divider in the middle, road narrowed, other driver came into me . i yanked car hard left & and crunched the crap out of the tire and front wheel on a nonbeveled concrete curb . Estimated speed 30 mph Changed tire and drove the 6 miles home, steering wheel currently sits 30 degrees left of center. car drives like i broke a tie rod. Tire in question bounces uncontollably to the point where it impacts the inside of the fender well and part of the strut. . Tire got literally chewed up by something to the point where it looks like it went through an asphalt removall machine.. on visual inspection no cv joint leaks. no strut leaks , spring on strut looks intact, though swaybar looks bent.- got car up on jack stands and grabbed rotor in both hands and gave it the angry dog shake - feels solid. however tire is not even close to vertical- top leans towards engine at a 20 degree angle or so. Anyone got any ideas what i did and can i repair it ? thanks

I got a few sparks (okay, more than a few sparks) and a tiny little flame--but it went right out! Does this mean my battery is no good now?

Do you take off the red cable first or the black? And when putting it on which goes first? Does it matter if I'm using metal tools?

I've had a 1988 Pontiac Grand Prix sitting in my garage for the past 5 years. It's been started periodically every 6 months or so, but hasn't been moved. I need to get the Pontiac on the road again, as a Daily Driver, but need to know what steps to take in order to have it running mechanically. Do i need to change the OIL, change the TRANSMISSION FLUID? What parts should i have looked at by a mechanic? Does anything need to be done to the breaks or other systems? Any help is GREATLY appreciated! thanks...

It also shudders when I get going. That must be unrelated but if you could explain that too you have a good chance at being chosen for best answer.

I have a Ford F-150 5.4 liter triton it gets about 14 mpg city and 17.5 on the highway. I have a functional ram air hood with air raid intake system. Its suppose to give me up to 10 percent increase fuel economy and more midrange power and low end torque.............. I cant tell if it has or not. Are there other devices that will save fuel? Do devices like the tornado actually work?? If they do work why dont manufactures build vehicles with all these devices included??

My 1993 Honda Accord LX has power locks and windows (stock) and I'm having problems with the drivers window. It will go down without any problems. But sometimes it won't go up. I'll sit there and try pushing the button up and it won't budge. After a couple min. or several tries, it eventually goes up. (Example: I was driving home from work yesterday with the window down half way.I was pulling up to the driveway, I pushed the button to close the window. It didn't work [no clicking sound either]. I then pushed the button to see if it would go down and it did [with no problem]. I then tried to push the button to go up and it still didn't work. But every time that i tried to get it to go up it wouldn't. Then after trying it a few times it finally worked. and went up. (this morning) I tried it and it went down fine but had the same problem trying to get it to go up. It goes down fine but it doesnt go up all the time. What is wrong? I live in Texas so this is important.
