I've heard JBA shorties are good, but that long tubes provide better sound and torque on the LS1, any help would be great!!!

Personally, I'd call Summit Racing. www.summitracing.com

It's a bunch of gearheads on a tech line looking to make people's cars faster. They know their stuff and Summit has a huge LT1 parts selection. Also, unrelated but completely awesome...I think it was Motor Trend or something like that...they just compared a Vette, a GTO, a GT, a Viper and a Mustang and gave them all the most aftermarket stuff they could. The GTO hit 197mph in the standing mile...and that was with a blown gasket. Check it out...it was a great article...they even gave the win for overall performance and value to the GTO...I wish Pontiac did a better job with them...they'd still be around for awhile.

I personally like long tubes better but I don't know how they will fit under your car. Sometimes you have to run shorties just to get them in the vehicle. If they make long tube headers for your ride I would go with them. You also might want to see if they have them with ceramic coating on them. This helps keep the heat down under the hood. Hope I have been helpful
