yes . I have a 77 Chevy with a th350.

depending on the state you live in, there is probably a transmission parts supply store. Axiom Automotive and Transtar are the big ones. tell them you want teckpak # T35999U that should be a universal dipstick and tube. they're cheap and they work great

Go to a junk yard and ask them to yank one out for you. Probably around 5 dollars
