It is probably the solenoid. But because it is a ford it might actually have 2. Or it could be the fuse for the ignition. Or possibly the ignition switch itself. All this is assuming that the battery is connected and not dead. Another thing it could be is a bad ground from the motor to the body. Hope I have been helpful

A little vague on reporting what is actually happening when you attepmt to start; (auto or stick)
-does the vehicle electric seem to be working when you turn your key to the first position? IF not, try repositioning the shifter through all the gears slowly then stop in reverse and literally get out of the car ( on a flat surface of course ) and go to the rear of the vehicle and push it to make sure it is in gear, then get back into your vehicle and place it in park. Turn the key off and fully start your vehicle. THIS THE 1ST OF MANY SCENARIOS TO START WITH. GOOD LUCK!

Does it just click when you turn the key? If ithat is the sound you hear then it might be 1 of 3 things............ the battery( low voltage), the starter relay (located usually on the fire wall or fender wall, follow the postive cable) or the starter.
