Like the first guy said.... pour a little gas in the carb or intake. Open the air filter cover and remove the filter, then pour about 1/2 cup of gas in. If it starts up, then you will know that the fuel line isnt giving it any gas.

Which means, first, check to make sure you have gas in the car (duh)
Then check your fuel filter. After that, when you turn the key on, listen closely for the sound of your fuel pump to come on for a few seconds. If you dont hear anything, check your fuses.

If your fuses are good, you may need a new fuel pump.

oh man my truck is the kling of this,so listen up
if your car is a carbuerator, then take off hte black cover, take a can of gas and pour a little, very little like a spoonful or so in it,and then turn the ignition and pump the gas pedle 5 or 10 time then try to start,it should catch and hold gas.
or it could be your fuel pump
or the fuel filter'
or just outta gas
try the first thing it will start, its suppopse to if not then keep trying.it eventually will catch
