The 3 guys who mentioned the swtich are right. Mine actually just did this and I just fixed it. It's an easy repair and not too expensive.

Your power windows all have an individual motor located inside the door panel. The motor on your drivers side is going bad...They are very simple to replace, but expensive on foreign cars like a Honda. You need to remove the door panel to get to the motor...they are typically held on by just a few screws and 2 wires....about the size of a pack of cigerettes.Go to a junkyard and just buy a cheap used one...otherwise you could spend hundreds of dollars for one of these motors, especially on a Honda.

For what it's worth, we have had a couple of Volvo's that did the same thing. Turned out that it was easy to take out the switch and squirt some contact cleaner into it. WD-40 may also work. That always fixed the problem. In your case, it could be something else, but this is a cheap and easy thing to try first.

well its quite simple actually... U'r window beeding is become old and so is the motor of ur' door. U can solve this problem temporarily by using the silicon spray on the beeding around the window but this is a temporary solution. U need to either change u'r window beeding or the power motor. If u keep the engine running and then try it works better..

How well I know the problem. It's not unusual having problems getting it up as things age.
In the case of your car's window, the switch is going bad. You'll have to replace the switch assembly (all four switches in the driver's door) as single switches are not sold.
Too bad they don't have Viagra for car windows...

Try replacing the window switch first, it's the cheapest repair.... If not you may need a window motor.

Window motors are dc motors and if they will run in either direction, they are ok. Your trouble is probably the switch itself. (New one needed) Likely you allowed rain to wet it and it corroded. Could also be just worn out. Either way you will need someone to replace it. (Not cheap either)
