We have checked the ECU, distributor, alternator, nothing seems to be burned up... we bought the car already not running. The former owner said it just cut out while he was driving, and was never able to get it to start again. The engine turns over, but will never start. The timing belt and all belts seem to be okay and intact. The fuse that pops as soon as we start it is #14 under the dash, something with the alternator, cannot remember the exact name. Any advice would be helpful.

the other day i went out to my truck(1994 chevy silverado with 350 tbi engine 5spd manual). after it had been sitting for a few hours and went to start it and it would not kick over. the battery is fine and all lights and other electronics work. But when i go to start it the starter wont kick over. I changed the starter, the starter relay, no loose grounds or plugs, checked fuses and everything is good. I took out the starter and bench tested it it works fine. I turned the engine with a breaker bar to see if for some wild reason it was seized up. no problems. Could it be my ignition switch? i am a little stumped at how after sitting for a few hours this happened. Any help would be greatly appreciated before i dive into my ignition.

I'v been told by a friend not to drive a new car above 60 mph for the first 3000 miles, the reason is because the engine is not well lubricated yet. Is this true?

I need help. I have a 2000 plymouth neon, 2.0 litre, 4-cylinder. I want to add performance, and bodykits to it. I am limited in money right now, but i am desperate to modify it. I already have some good looking euro style lights on it. Should I upgrade it, or wait and get a better car, in other words does a neon suck at racing.

I have a 1995 Mercury Tracer front wheel drive, 1.9L. There is a grinding, almost metal-metal, noise that is coming from the front driver side brake unit when I go and press on the brake. The pads are okay (over 60%) but are squealing too. I was thinking the CV system but I have test it and it seems fine. What gives?

My cassette deck is running but it has no tape in it. Now I cannot listen to the radio . I cannot just pull the fuse on the tape deck because it runs the radio too even though they are separate units. I think somebody got a tape stuck in the deck and this problem occured when they dug it out. I've looked in there with a flashlight and there is nothing left in the deck that should cause it to run but it does. I need a way to disable the tape deck so I can listen to the radio. Any help would be appreciated . Thank you

i drive a 2003 ford focus. the fan in the ventillation system arbitarily cuts out. if i leave it in the ON position for long enough after it gives out, it emmits this really acrid, foul odor. but if i turn it off and wait a bit, it turns right back on. it will work anywhere from a couple seconds to a couple hours. is this a known problem for this year/make/model? i'm hoping it's an easy fix. any suggestions to what could be causing this?

I own a 1988 Honda Accord (USED) just bought the other day and it has the appearance that it hasn't been driven in a while with the rust on the inside and such. I am just curious how to get my problem with the engine to stop. I installed a timing belt right before I put it on the road, so I need to know what the problem is. Also, how do I fix a short in the power windows & locks??

With the (up to) 10% ethynol in our gas I went from 16.5 to 15.5 mile per gallon. I average about 15.5 gallons per fill up. With this loss (only 1 mile per gallon) at $3.00 per gallon, I lose about $2.79 or 0.93 gallons per fill up. Looking at it another way I could say I am paying $3.18 per gallon.
So is this helping us or not?
