Your best bet is to get a service manual for your vehicle at an auto parts store. This will give you step-by-step instructions on how to do the job properly, and if any special tools are required. I don't believe you have to remove the engine, the drive-shaft should come out as a unit. The two critical points to doing this job is A) Thoroughly disassemble the C/V joint and CLEAN IT WELL!!, if you don't, you'll just be putting dirt and moisture back into the joint, and it will fail sooner. If you find any rust or pitting or severe wear in the joint components, it's junk. You'll need a new joint. B) Torque the axle nut to specifications! Otherwise, you may have premature wheel bearing failure! HTH!! Good Luck!!

It's not a small task...
However if you are mechanically inclinded, it's not impossible. You'll need a lot of patience and time since some of the nuts and bolts are very tight and require a good amount of penetrating oil and a good cheater bar doesn't hurt to get the spindle nut removed.

replacing a cv joint on any foriegn car is a long drawn out process that usually involves completely removing the engine and axle....if you dont have mechanic training you probly wont be able to do it yourself.....
