most are rated at 45 mph max and no longer than 50 miles. The idea is just to get you to a place to get the normal tire repaired. ALSO, if you have a front wheel drive vehicle, DO NOT PUT THE DONUT SPARE ON A FRONT AXLE as this will cause damage to the drive shaft. if the front tire is flat, put the donut on a rear axle and move the good rear tire to the front. A lot of work, but big savings in unnecessary drive shaft repair.

I think your only supposed to drive on it for like 100 miles, in order to stay safe. To be sure, look on your car manual under tire care.
