how old do you have to be, what conditions, etc.
It would be great if you have experience in this area, ex. work @ dmv, have (or know someone who has) gotten hardship license, etc.

Thanks!!!

I brought a car that previously has a salvage/rebuilt title on it but it currently has a clean title in the state I currently reside. Will my insurance company look at the current title or the entire record of the car?My guess would be the entire record but I just want to make sure.

Thanks,
-Chris

and your windows down if its a really hot day. i mean it really does not matter since your insurance covers it right? all you pay is the deductible which is only like 250$... if your car gets stolen ... also .. isnt it to your advantage because you will just get a new car?....

We paid in full for a car at this place. We were called later in the day to pick it up. No tax at all when we got there and were told the car was registered as disabled and could take 6 weeks to change over and tax - we were told when we bought that we could have any tax on the vehicle and at no point were we told the car was registered diasable and had no tax dispite asking repeatedly. We now have a car that we can't drive and I'm wondering about the legality of this sale and the information the supermarket provided us with?? Needless to say we're furious. Does anyone have any thoughts on this, I'd be grateful for any feedback, thanks. BTW, I would NEVER buy a car from this (crafty) place again! They also say that you can drive away in 1 hour...perhaps you can, but obviously not legally!!

I bought a car from a woman in another city. She gave me the title with her signature and I signed as well but it is not notorized. Will she need to be present for me to get this notorized at the DMV?

My daughter will be going away to college (out-of-state) full-time and staying on-campus. She is currently insured full coverage on my automobile that she is the sole driver. Do I have to continue to keep her insured even though she will no longer be staying home and the car will be parked at home being she can't drive her freshmen year in college? Thanks.

I have a 16 year old step son who is anxious to learn how to drive. Before I put him behind the wheel and add him to our policy, I want to gather some facts on how doing so will affect our (my husband & my) clean records. Will his low gpa (grade point average) be a reflection on the policy as a whole? How will any violations he has impact our records and credit ratings? My husband and I are planning on building a house in a year or so and would like to know specifically what kind of risks we are assuming - insurance rating, credit rating and otherwise - so that we don't jeopardize are own hard work because of his negligence! Thanks!

We brought the car to a new state, signed the back of the old title, then the car was involved in an accident and totaled and we have already gotten a total loss check for it. Now the insurance company says we need to change the title to be titled in the new state. Is this possible? The form says it must be inspected to get the title, but if we no longer have the car how can this work?

I have just changed car insurers, I have never had a claim in 13 yrs of driving, & my new insurer accepts up to 9 yrs ncb, I requested proof from my previous company, but their maximum is 5 yrs, & even though they have it on record that I had at least 4 yrs when I first insured with them, they will only release the 5 yrs I accrued while insured with them. As a result my quote has just gone up another £60, is there any way I can get proof??? (I can't remember who I was insured with before them).

Let's say I loan my car to a friend, who gets into an accident. Which one of us should file a claim with our insurance company? Both of us have good insurance. If I file with my company, will they raise my premium even though I wasn't driving? This is in California, btw.
