My car tax is due at the end of the month and like a responsible driver have got out all the documents i need to renew it before it expires, however, i thought the M.O.T ran out at the same time but, oh no, it expired in december, i am horrified that i have been driving with no test, will i be able to get one tomorrow or will i be in big trouble.

your insurance has a clause in it which makes it invalid if theres no MOT. book one in now and get it done, by they way your insurance is valid if you are delivering a car to a pre-arranged MOT. it is easily forgotten about but it is important, dont drive it around meanwhile until its passed, by the way there are new MOT certificates that have a barcode and serial number on them, you can use this to get your tax disc online instantly to avoid queuing for hours for the gestapo down at the post-office, just type in 'tax disc online' to yahoo search and you'll go straight there

You are covered by tax and insurance while you drive to a pre-booked MOT appointment. So book one now or first thing in the morning. You may run in to problems as you are fifteen days or more after the MOT has expired. If asked the car has been off the road or un-driven. Make sure that the garage that you have booked in to knows you are on your way, so that they can confirm that this is why you are on the road. Good Luck!!

Just get it done tomorrow.
I believe the government are on about having the M.O.T. last 2 years, so if future it won't be so much of a problem.
In the meantime, go careful...your insurance is not valid without MOT.

You will be fine, as long as you book the test in advance, so that if, for some reason you are stopped by the Police on the way, you will not face penalties. (plus, driving without an MOT invalidates your insurance) i would phone your local MOT station as soon as possible in the morning, and don't use your car until you have a confirmed MOT test date and time. :-)

Having no MOT makes your insurance invalid - so don't drive it until you get one. Go to the garage and get an MOT asap - you won't get into trouble if you don't drive the vehicle.

I wouldn't really wait till tomorrow,
You have some leeway in renewing. I think as long as there are no active tickets on it you will be fine.
