we've been looking at getting the new compass for my first car! =) but iv only seen it come in manual online... so i was wondering if anyone knew if it came automatic? and also im looking at the Saturn VUE- any opinions on that??? THANKS!!!

I have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler 4 cylinder/manual with 69000 miles on it and it is a great jeep it just is kind of gutless. It has no balls. From a stop it leisurely goes through it's gears with no real pick-up. I want to give it a make over from the inside. Short of changing the engine to a 6 or 8 cylinder what can I do to give the thing some kick? I don't know much about servicing my own cars, but I learn fast and I have unlimited recourses, just not much money.

long story, she hit me and she had no ins.Mine is taling care of it but body shop has did 5G's already on it and now they say the frame is (Diamond) and can't be repaired needs new frame,but that will but it over 10G's.98, 2.5, automatic, oversized wheels, 4 in. lift,and tube bumbers.Checked Blue Book $8,500.00.Was told buy body man to find something comparable and ins. would have to do it as a trade out due to being totaled.anyone have an answer.Already found one 98 5 spped 2.5 110,000 new motor with15,000 miles.looks exactly like my jeep now but this one is $10,000.00

i have a 1993 jeep cherokee and it has a built in alarm.when you lock the doors the alarm sets.when i unlock the jeep on the drivers side the alarm goes off,when i unlock the jeep from the passenger side it doesnt set the alarm off.does anyone know whats going on with my jeep?

A guy is selling one for only $20K with only 25K miles.

It gets 9 miles to a gallon.

My work is 25 miles each way = 50 miles or 5.5 gallons per day.

So it would cost me $18 of gas each day for work. My Honda cost me about $5.50 per day.

Is it worth it?

I went to the dealership today and found out they stopped shipping manual wrangler 06's. I looked around and found a silver (2nd choice) 06 wrangler sport automatic. the dealer offered 5k below msrp, which seems pretty sweet. but how do autos hold up in wranglers? i know manuals are the way to go (I have to leanr how to drive stick though haha) for wranglers and i dont like the new 07's so much. what shoud i do? thanks in advance. mike

I have a Grand Cherokee Jeep (my 3rd one) and between gear changes (I think 3rd to 4th) sometimes the gear change is jerky and makes a clunking noise. This has happened with all of my Jeeps, yet the dealer insists that they cannot replicate the problem.

It seems to happen when you ease off the accelerator to slow down (not brake), but then when you accelerate again, this tends to happen, not all the time, but enough times to notice.

Anyone else have this problem and have you overcome it?

can everyone answer both parts please..

I was getting an oil change today and i asked the service center to check the alternator for output they charged me $33.50 to check it saying it was a very indepth process is this obsurd

Second they told me my inner tie rod end needed to be relpaced on the drivers side and was about to break . I was told by somone this wasnt as bad as they said and that i could wait.. if i replace it what should it cost
