Ever since I was a kid I wanted a jeep. I finally got one, new just before I graduated college. Since then I have gone through A Chevy Suburban, Chevy Truck, Ford F-150, all 4wd. I finally realized that there are some things that leather seats and a smooth ride cant cure. I bought my Wrangler back after 3 years and only regret it when I go to the gas pumps. I get about 13 miles to the gallon. I have a few electrical issues with the car, but every vehicle is going to have it's idiosyncracies. Chances are, if you THINK you want a jeep, go for it. The resale value is better than almost any car on the road, if in the event that you dont like it. If you get it, you will also be a part of a secret society that every jeep owner knows about. No secret handshakes or passwords here. To find out if someone is part of that society, all you have to do is wave. If they wave back...you'll know. The sticker really says it all if you are a jeep enthusiast...It's a jeep thing...you wouldn't understand. If you buy it "welcome!" if not, we'll still like you. Just dont buy a kia or suzuki...be better to ride a moped. Jeeps have a better rollover rating than even the most popular of SUVs. If the doors are off, watch the ground for a minute before you go hot-roddin around. You will understand your vulnerability. Always wear your seatbelt, and dont drink and drive.

There are two types of people: those who LOVE Jeeps and those who hate... I personally love mine. I had a '95 Wrangler and now have an '06 Unlimited (4" lift w/33's). They are Loud and not made for comfort, but are so very FUN! If you love feeling free with the top down and have the ability to drive anywhere, then a Wrangler may be for you. However, you should rent one for a week to see if you really like it. I even use mine for a daily driver (with 2 child seats in the back). But I like the 4x4 thing: my other car is a lifted Ford Excursion. As for safety, it's only as safe as it's driver. Everyone needs to know the limits of their own vehicle and their own skills as the driver of that vehicle.

SAFETY PROVEN TO BE THE BEST!!!
A jeep is not as bad as what people make them out to be... the ones that are simply scared of them that is. I have had a jeep for over 5 years now and just recently purchased another one after being involved in an accident where the Jeep was a life saver! I had to run off the road at a high speed in order to miss a person...and when i hit the hill at a min of 45 mph the body wasnt even damaged but the frame buckled and the strut broke clear into!!! The frame took all the impact! My mother and I were in the vehicle with the top off and luckily we had our seat belts on... neither of us were seriously hurt. Thanks to the seat belts the jeep and jesus!!! I highly recommend a jeep to anyone!

I have had now going on a few of them.I just totaled my 98 wrangler. another jeep owner turned in front of me and both of our jeeps were totaled the investigators said if the other person would have been in a car instead of that jeep they would have been seriously injured or dead.So I say that they are safe vehicles as long as you treat them right remember they are not a sports car can't hug every turn they are a 2,800 LBS of STEEL so yeah I would say they are Very SAFE.I just went out today and bought a 04 wrangler 6inch. lift size 33's half doors tow package the works. Now it's time to roll again

i love my jeep ive had it for about 3 years now. no major problems ofcoarse like any other car it can get the occasional little nick nack problems but other then that nothing just change the oil every 3k and the other maintaninces and your good the engine will never take a crap on you. ya its a little cramped on space but who cares theres a reason for it and the reason is so you can fit in tight spots when you go offroading. i will admit though compared to cars now its not that good at gas at 15 intown and 20 freeway (for the inline six) but its better then 10 or 15 on the freeway. lastly they are safe the only way they become unsafe is if you drive like a dumbass as with any other car.

My best friend got one in late 2004. She had wanted one for years. Now she's sworn off all Jeep vehicles. It's already been in the shop 6 times for mechanical problems that no one can explain, and it's been VERY unreliable. She's spent just about as much time in a rental as she has her own vehicle.
Oh, and btw, she bought it NEW...not used.

First i might want to by no skill purchase a clean automobile. They lose 25% of their fee the first 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, no matter if youchronic it or no longer. purchase one over 2 years old, that has each and each of the insects worked out of it. they're basically known on mileage, as a results of bigger weight of the body, 4wheel dr., and so on. likely lower than 16 to 22 mpg searching on engine. i imagine they're round $22k - $30k new. you will get one 2 years old for as low as $14k, depending.

well......i love them. since me and husband have been married, he has had three different ones. he trades it off for another when it gets a few years old. he has never had a problem with any of them. they are just as safe as any vechile out there. they are actually made very well and the they hold their value better than any other vechile. anyways, i could talk all day about how much i love them. the only thing i can tell you is that they are a good vechile and that you will glad that you got one
