I'm contemplating on buying a 1998 Jeep Cherokee (no 4*4), it has 91,000. Can I expect to get another 50,000 miles out of it? By the way it's in great shape and the owner has taken very good care of it.

first flat tire.Rear passenger side. The flat tire/low pressure light came on. I put the spare on. It was brand new. My tire light is still on. Why??? Could it be because the spare has more tread than the other 3? The other choice I guess could be that the spare pressure is low. I've heard that the light staying on, if it is because of the tread, could screw up my computer system. True?? I really don't have the cash to buy 3 new tires just to match the tread of my spare. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I hear the Jeeps have transmission and other mechanical problems. I am looking for a used 4x4 and am exploring options like the Jeep and even a 2005 Outback. I am looking for people's experience with either car. My goal is low miles and 15-18k in price.

Is there any differences between the two?.... I drive a 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition, but it doesn't have the "High Output" Label under the "4.0" emblem. When I bought my Jeep Brand New, I was under the impression that I was buying the "top of the line" Wrangler, so does that mean that my Jeep is a "High Output" Jeep? What are the differences between a Jeep 4.0 Liter "High Output" engine, when compared to a non "High Output"? Please note that any engine specifics would be appreciated when differentiating the engines, as I am very knowledgeable of engines but like everybody else, wants more power out of their Jeep. Thanks

When I turn the headlights on, the driver side lower light does not work (orange light). When I switch the turn signal on, it works. When I turn the hazzard lights on, it works. Just when I am driving with the headlights on, it doesn't work. Obviously it is not the bulb. Checked all the possible fuses, and they all were fine. Is this a wire problem, and something I can do myself. Also, what would the price margin be.

when i am driving with the pedal being pushed constantly for a period of time, the AC stops blowing from its normal vents, and starts blowing out of my defrost vents. when i let off the pedal, the air begins to blow out of the normal vents again. ive replaced both check valves, and still no good! whats the deal, b/c its driving me insane!!! thanks- jacob

The blower does work, as does the A/C. It seemed like one side of the Jeep (I have dual-temp climate control) lost its heat first (say a month or two), but now no heat whatsoever, even set to 75+ degrees.

Any hints, tips, would be appreciated (either how to fix, or what I can expect to spend at a garage)

I drive a 1998 jeep grand cherokee. Whenever I start it up I have to let it run for about 2 - 3 minutes before I can drive it, and if I don't let it run long enough and I push on the accelerator it won't go, it just stalls for a second and then it'll go and then it won't. It's weird, and really annoying, because whenever I go somewhere I can't just start my jeep and leave, I have to let the damn thing run for atleast 3 minutes. Does anyone know what the problem might be and how I can get it fixed?

I have three different wires one that is blue/purple
blue
yellow/pink
then there is a pigtail it plugs into that goes to the transfer case, they look like they are tan, black and dark pink.

for some reason my parking brake light on the dash keeps coming on. the brake is not on, i have checked to see if it may have engaged everytime the light comes on. does anyone have any idea what this could mean?
