Just because your brake light is coming on doesn't mean that it pertains to your Parking Brake. The light will also come on when there is a problem with your wheel brakes. The most likely cause for an inter-mitten Brake Light is that you are low on Brake Fluid. When the fluid gets low there is more room for it splash around and since the Low Fluid Sensor is mounted on the side of the reservoir the light will go on when going around corners and over bumpy terrain. The light will most likely go off when the car is still.

The most common cause of low fluid is that your brake pads need to be replaced.

Quick Fix: simply fill the Brake Fluid Reservoir, also called the Master Cylinder, located on the drivers side attached to the Fire Wall.

If the brake lever is pulled just 1/4" the light will come on. Be sure to have the lever all the way down.

Is it the "brake light" or does it specifically say "parking brake"? If it's the later, either the switch bracket has been bent or the switch itself is loose in the bracket not completely disengaing the switch. Or, worst case senario, you have a short somewhere in the electrical circuit.
