My girlfriend is buying one of the two today. But i want to kno which one is better and more reliable. Which one got better ratings overall.

They both are about as reliable as your average Chrysler vehicle, and they both have depreciation that is on par with a rock falling from a 2 story window.

I'll tell you what Car and Driver said. They just did a preview of the Compass and said it would be a decent vehicle overall. The things they didn't care for are more road noise than there should be and the interior is very cheap in apperance. Other than that it should be a very decent car

you know its hard to say which one is more reliable because they just came out with them so there really is no telling how good they are. they both are pretty close to the same thing it all depends on what you like and what features you like in which car. in the end your getting a jeep so they usually are pretty damn reliable unless you dont take care of them but thats another story for another time.

I have read the reviews on both and basically is the same car but with different style. I will get to see the Patriot to see which one is the one I like.

The Patriot is not available yet.
The only significant difference is body style:
Patriot sits higher and is boxier; more Jeep-lie
Compass has lower profile, sleeker styling

They are basically the same.
Both are car based frames so no real off road trail rated like in standard Jeeps.
Compass is design for the modern urban areas.
Patriot is design for the throw backs to the old cherokee era.
Either one is OK.

bag buying either one of them and get a wrangler.... they are having awesome sales on the last of the 06's and the wrangler is far better then the other 2. besides, the wrangler becomes a convertable which is really nice!
