you could off a 96 and below, but not a 2001 without changing the bold pattern.

I don't believe that you can. I know that the xj body style hasn't changed that much but the body style did change in 96 or 97 a little bit. your best bet is to find a jeep board/forum in your area and ask there. I live in Missouri and would recommend www.midwestjeepthing.com for an answer but it depends on where you live.. you can still post on mwjt even if you are in another state..
