Another 50, 000 miles? If you're referring to a Cherokee and not a Grand Cherokee, then you should know that this Jeep has a l6 motor (or straight 6). This is a 6 cylinder 4.0 liter powerhouse. This has to be the most bulletproof motor ever made. With regular oil changes, you can get over 300,000 miles from this one. At 91,000 miles your Jeep is still a baby. ANd there's very few if any other 6 cylinders out there that can come close to it for torque. Buy it, take care of it, and you wil be driving it 10 years from now. I have one with over 180, 000 miles and the engine still purrs like brand new.
After you buy it, sign up with a good online Jeep Forum like Jeeps Unlimited Forums and learn more about this truck. You won't regret it, but you might kick yourself for not buying one that's 4x4!

easily another 50k just keep up on the maintenance and repairs. the way i see it is you dont have the 4 wheel drive to wear the engine out more.i have seen the 4 wheel drives with around 200 k on them. and even the full time ones with around 150k.
now that i read the others that was put up while i was typing other things came to mind. if the owner has all the maintenance records, get them they are worth their weight in gold. here is why, you wont be spending money on stuff already done.
as far as jeep sites i prefer this one they are very nice to newcomers and quite patient and very knowledgeable.

i have an 89 jeep cherokee 4 wheel drive with a little more miles than yours. it runs great and does excellant in the snow. the only battle im fighting is rust from the salt dumped whenever it snows in NJ lol

I belive you should get many more miles on it. I am a used car dealer and go to car auctions and see many jeeps go threw with tons of miles on them. I don't know which engine you have but the 6cy 4.0 seems to be toughest of all. The V8s are Chry. 318s and 360s. Both good motors. Of course the trick is maintance. If it has been maintained, I would go for it. It may not be a bad idea to take it to your, or a bonified, mechanic and have it once overed.

it all depends on the motor if its the inline go for change the oil and it will be ok and are they highway less abuse miles or in city stop and go miles more severe driving conditions i had a 89 cherokee with the inline 6 and rolled it it stayed running with it laying on the driver side for five minutes the oil running out and iot started after sitting for 3 months in the middle of january they were no noises or nething i still have it but it is in a friends garage waiting for me to get back to fix it so go for it if it has the straight six they are great motors i dont like they got rid of it

Vipassana strikes back together with his customary, ineffective wrath. For God sakes get a existence, if everybody could stand you. you have insulted extra yahoo customers than i'm able to shop track of. pass away!!! As on your question, the severe mileage you're hoping for relies upon on how ell you have maintained your jeep. substitute the oil each and every 3,000 miles, time for a clean set of plugs and wires, and examine all fluid levels. in case you stress responsibly, and carry out common upkeep, you would be ok.

Change the oil more than whats required. Once you get into the 120-140's parts begin to break down so you are going to have to replace them sooner or later. I suggest changing all fuel and starter related parts.

shouldn't be a problem, unfortunately computer controlled cars are a bit unpredictable and seem to have more problems once they get over 100k - if was an old jeep then 91k would be barely broken in, lol
