Im from northwest ohio area. but am also looking for some cool place to travel to next year.

I did a little searching and found that there are no legal public places in norther Ohio. Best bet is to make freinds with a farmer or something unless you want to go for a road trip. There are some places elsewhere in Ohio though. Check here for more info.

Really the old mining trails are prolific and a blast to drive and explore. However, falling off a mountain side ruins anyone's day. If your'e not very experienced (and based on your question I'd say you're not) then you may want to stay in the flatlands.
