i have a 5.8L V8 not much for power at 210 hp i want to put something fun in it(460, any other suggests for engines that would be able to drop in it) but i dont know what will pass emmissions

I have had numerous problems with my 2006 Mustang GT. It has been in the shop 6 times since i have owned it, only two months. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with having a vehicle replaced or bought back from Ford? What do i need to do?

It was only the passenger side of the floorboard that was wet. It was literally standing water. When i drove home last night it was raining a little. What is the problem?

When i use the electric door locks, it arms the anti-theft alarm. The only way I can get it to shut off is to disconect the battery.

Okay, so I have a 1997 Ford Mustang GT. Took it in to Best Buy today to have an after market alarm installed on it. The install tech calls me half way through the project and informs me that my car will not start now. He says that all he did was install the LED light, install the siren, cut the door lock wires to hook it up to the alarm, and install a panic button. He was going to cut the wire to the starter to hook up the starter kill in the new alarm, and went to turn the car on and it wouldn't start. He hadn't cut the starter wire yet he said. The car functions properly in every way except when you try to start it. There is absolutely no cranking or clicking or anything. Seems to me that the PATS (anti-theft) system is not allowing the engine to start, but wouldn't the theft light be on if this was the case?

Is there a way to test if it is PATS system blocking access to the starter? Is there a way to reset it without having to tow it to a dealer?

My Trucks steering seems to work and and just give out and work again- I was going through a trailorpark picking up my kin and I was putting my soda down when I saw a couple of old ladys walking in the middle of the road however it was 2 late and I jerked the wheel and it dident work , I slamed over one of the old ladys and suddenly my steering worked again and slamed into her trailor causing a little bit of damage . does anybody know what part i need to repair for this

My fiance's Escort sometimes pops out of 3rd. She thought she was just holding the clutch down a little, but i had it pop on me too. It's not everytime, and once it pops once, putting it back in it stays. PLEASE don't say she needs new sync gears.

When I get into the trunk, there is a small rubber stopper with a wire going through it. I have removed that, but no bulb comes out with it. And the hole is only a little bigger than a quarter so I cannot reach inside to get to the bulb. I see no trap doors, and I cannot get the tailight cover off. HELP!!

Ford escort 1.8lx?
i read alot a about cars and hopefully will be getting on a machanic course soon and it seems alot of people when modding/tuning there cars seem to swap certen PERFORMANCE parts of there cars with higher model parts eg fiesta 1.3 with fiesta rs turbo parts so im just wundering if my 1992 escort 1.8 lx would benerfit from some escort cosworth parts if so which ones and why would be very greatful for any feedback #

i bought a 2000 f 150 sat parked it at 1.15 sun at 3 am it was burned to the ground,faulty cruise control circut, ford says so sorry we will do nothing but---- they would have fixed it and refused to let me drive off before they fixed it so if you own one i would get it checked out.

i bought a ford 350 diesil with a e40d tranmission for my husband nyto fimd out i had been taken for a ride the tran had a fire and all the wires have been burned along with tran i have gotton a new tran but i canot get the wiring harness forthe tran under the body. i was wondering if yu could find me a color code wiring gram for the nutraul safty switch or any kind of wire diagram for the tran we have gotten it to turn ove but cannot get it to fire please help me if you can

Book says not to burn it, just 87 octaine, or will just pinging. But put some in by mistake, and runs better! Around town, anyway - Got a plug that gets black quick, oil, I think.
Yet so old, blow -by must be significant - Would 91 help?
Or would making it into a minisize by leaving it on RR tracks help?

I just bought mine one week ago. i like it,but the rear window is so small. i am having a hard time seeing what is behind me when i reverse. On the highway, i find that there are bad blind spots. Am i just supposed to reverse with a hope and a prayer like the little old ladies at the supermarket? definate flaw in design.


When i am on the highway, i can only see the top of the car behind me. granted, they are tailgating, but i drive in nj.
