I thought they were posted on the truck hinge. Could be wrong, but anyway, take it back to the dealer and they should be able to tell you the code.

bumbles is right to a point.... open the compartment on the drivers left in the rear.. it holds your jack and jack handle... you will see a module toward the front , you will have to pry back the plastic a little but with a flashlight you should be able to see the writing on the module.. the 5 numbers in big numbers are the key code

I own a 98 as well, I heard a rumor, that if you open your rear compartment on the driver side, the one that has the jack and jumper cables, that the numbers are in there.... I havent checked myself... but I read that once.
