I am a college student(junior) and I currently own a 97 Ford Escort w/ 92,000 miles. How long do you guys think it would last? Those of you who have an older car w/ more mileage that is a Ford is need for advice. I want it to last until I graduate and am a working woman (2008). Would this be possible?

My 1978 300 straight six ran fine a week ago and had no signs of problems. I went to start it today, no go. there's fuel, air,no plugs, and the distributor sparked well. the engine won't run though, not even when being towed in gear. anyone have any idea what it is please let me know!!! thanks

1999 expedition, load level air compressor is loud, you can feel lots of vibration when it comes on, do i need to change a mount or do i have to replace the whole compressor, and if i do replace the pump is there any tricks to the trade or stumbling points or is it a one for one exchange, i know i should replace the dryer also, thanks Tony

i have a cold air in take and after market exaust system. I'm planning on getting a power programmer but is there other cheap aftermarket parts i could a to give it a little more boost

And another thing, since it is has that electronicaly controled gas pedal, the reaction time is way off. u step on the pedal and nothing happens, then about a second later it kicks in... is there any solution for this? tnx

Anyone know at what level the fuel light in the 2006 Mustang V6 comes on? I was just curious, it allegedly has a 16 gallon tank, and if I fill up when the light comes on, it usually only takes 13 gallons or so...

Im going to be going to the wrecking yard to find a ford 5.0. I just need the short block no heads or intake. Since the motor's are in the junk yard still installed in the cars or trucks. How can I test or tell if the short block is in good condition or has good compression? I cant run the engine or turn the motor over for a compresion test. They have no battery's or fuel

How fast would the current generation mustang v8 supercharged with nitrous intalled? And can i put a turbocharger in if its already supercharged? How would it do if i street raced with it? bad average or good? compared to the other ones in the streets i think you need some exprereicne to answere that. and if it sucks what else would you recomend? money not a problem just not something like a ferrari or rollsroyce or something. lol.

I hear more of a loud rattle when I accelerate in 1st and 2nd gear. Never do I hear it in reverse or in idle. I was told my u-joint s were bad and at $20 I bought new ones. I drive a 1999 Ford F150 4.2 V6 4x4. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks.
