It really is a waste to leave the engine with the stock manifolds, but for the life of me I cannot find a set of headers that are made to fit. Does anyone know which headers would be a closest match?

Thanks.

Hi, I have a 1998 Escort td. I want to program a remote fob to the car. The handbook says the remote is an infa red type, but i thought this was only on the early models? Does anyone know if it is infa red or not? Also the programming instructions seem vage and seem like a heap of rubbish. Does anyone know how to programe a key? Thanks 4 looking and taking time out!

I have replaced the battery 2 times within 6 months. The alternator is good. Charges 14 volts. There seems to be a current drain after you turn off the vehicle for some time. It doesnt happen everytime.

I just bought one yesterday, and when I went to put my kids carseats in, the backseat seatbelts are pulled all the way out and wont retract. Are they broken or is there some trick I dont know about? I've tried giving them a tug to see if they would retract back in, but no luck.

Any suggestions?

On Thurs. after running errands, car would not start. Key in ignition and "nothing." Battery is fine. Took to mechanic, 30amp Fuse blown, mechanic able to start with new fuse/fuse tester system, they started it 50plus times, but the fuse never blew again for them. Drove it away and was stranded again. Friday, they replaced starter and solinoid(cant spell that, sorry) and also started it over and over, testing it- and according to them, all was "fine". I drove car for 3 hours and turned it off to get gas. when I tried to start up- same exact thing- turned key "nothing" happened, no power, no engine ignition and the same 30amp fuse is blown.
I replaced fuse with car still hot, and fuse blew immediately upon turning key. I let car cool and replaced fuse, it again blew immediately upon turning key in ignition.
So, if problem is electircal/ wiring then did I never need a new starter/solinoid ? Should the shop refund me for that? Any ideas as to what is causing fuse to blow? help!

I have a 1959 Ford Fairlane that I am planning to restore. I was wondering if I should go with the original 292 or boost it up to a 302 police interceptor. I would like to kee it mainly all original, but I would gladly sacrifice something for a little more performance. Any suggestions about any aspect of it would be appreciated.

In a previous question this was the answer.
(1999 Ford Taurus SE)
I need this done:

It sounds like the relay feed wire is broken. The break usually happens in the rubber goose neck that protects the wires between the a post and the driver's door. Just pull back the rubber sleeve and connect the broken wire(s) with butt connectors.

How do i do this, where do i start, what parts do i need and whats a butt connector?

I have a Ford Fiesta Encore 1997 and it seems that the accelerator is sticking, in the sense that when I take my foot of the pedal the engine keeps on going. As you can probably tell this can be quite scary when edging out onto a junction but other than that it's not causing a problem other than being a nuisance. Has anybody else had a problem like this and if so what needs to be done? The engine has cut out a few times too, only seems to happen when still though, such as waiting at a junction etc is this in any way connected?
