also, what is the base model? 2.3L? my girlfriend wants a mustang but not interested in a lot of power...all about the look...so i was going to buy one, add a cowl hood, put some chrome cobra r rims on it, and if there is just one muffler, i will get it so it has too tailpipes....looking like it is fast, but really isnt

did ford make a 4 cylinder 93 mustang? If they did and the car was in good shape I wouldn't pay no more than $3,000 for it. The 3.8L V6 would be a better choice, but know more than 3,500 that being with the convertible and automatic transmission

If you want to give her one that looks good go for about a 2000 mustang. Looks better and a more comfortable ride. '99 or '00 has is easier to add luxuries and easier to get custom parts for. Looks fast while standing still.

so I asked my dad who would know since it's his career- he fixes, customizes, builds etc etc vehicles.
in his email he said " if not a V8 very unreliable. They are best with a stick shift but at its age a clutch job will be needed if it hasn't had one installed which can be expensive. Check for holes around the strut towers, firewall, floors and frame. You do realize it's a FORD!!???? 94 and newer with a V8 is a better choice if buying using the reasoning " it looks cute". Mustangs without the V8 power and pre 94 are not worth anything. Well a 68 fastback maybe worth a buck to me but not a penny more."

you should get it... they are worth around 3000$ if they are in good shape....
Ford 93 2.3L engine is actually one of the strongest engines ever made....it is used widely by rally racers due to it's dependablilty... it has 8 spark plugs on it to keep the engine as clean as possible.. a very rare development...
